Deckersamphiura was named by Jagt (2000). It is not extant. Its type is Deckersamphiura inusitata.

It was assigned to Amphiuridae by Jagt (2000) and Jagt (2001).

Jagt 2000An amphiurid with conspicuous dorsal disc plating, with a distinct central plate and up to two additional circlets, stout arms with dorsal and ventral arm plates abutting over the entire arm length, narrow, crescent-shaped lateral arm plates with up to 7 (or more ?) short, simple arm spines, arrow head shaped oral shields and paired, pointed infradental papillae.
