Azolla schopfii
Discussion
Djikstra 1961 described this species based on megaspores and microspores. Sweet and Chandrasekharam 1973 emended the diagnosis to include vegetative material from the Genesee Locality in the Scollard Formation. They also included A. fragilis Jain & Hall (1969) and A. extincta Jain (1971).
Taxonomy
Azolla schopfii was named by Dijkstra (1961). It is considered to be a form taxon. It is a compression fossil.
