Hispanomys peralensis

Taxonomy
Hispanomys peralensis was named by van de Weerd (1976) [Type specimen is from Peralejos C (PERC) and is held in the Insituto Provincial de Paleontologia, Sabadell.]. Its type specimen is PERC 351., a tooth (M1 sup.). Its type locality is Peralejos C, which is in the Vallesian of horizon the Alfambra Formation Spain.

A. van de Weerd 1976A Hispanomys species of medium size with a grooved upper incisor and with almost complete ectolophs. The upper M1 has four or five roots. H. peralensis has larger and higher molars than H. nombrevillae and H. aragonensis. H. thaleri has molars of about the same size, but the upper M1 is always four rooted and the lower molars have invariably the anterolophid.
