O. Bütschli 1882In this group, I place some forms that are strongly related to the eucyrtids and were listed by Ehrenberg in the genus Eucyrtidium. They are characterized by many segments (up to nine segments observed), that present, moreover, progressively enlarging diameters, so that the shape of the shell is a narrow cone. The occurrence of a terminal narrowing of the apertural end of the shell is dubious. This is the case of Eucyrtidium argus Ehrenberg, from the first to the fourth or fifth segment
