Ochotonoma was named by Sen (1998) [Type species is from Calta, Turkey.]. It is not extant. Its type is Ochotonoma anatolia.

It was assigned to Ochotonidae by Sen (1998); and to Ochotoninae by Erbajeva et al. (2011).

S. Sen 1998Small to middle sized ochotonid. On lower p3 anteroconid is large, with one or two anterior flexids filled with cement, or at least with depressions; protoflexid and paraflexid with smooth enamel borders. Upper P2 with one anterior flexus. Upper M2 with a stong posterolingual process.
