Anoplosaurus curtonotus
Taxonomy
Anoplosaurus curtonotus was named by Seeley (1879). Its type specimen is SMC B55731, R scapula (lectotype from among 77 syntypes), a set of postcrania, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Reach, Cambridge, which is in a Cenomanian marine phosphorite in the Upper Greensand Formation of the United Kingdom.
It was recombined as Acanthopholis curtonotus by Nopcsa (1902); it was considered a nomen dubium by Brinkmann (1988), Norman and Weishampel (1990).
