Taxonomy
Protoceratops hellenikorhinus was named by Lambert et al. (2001). Its type specimen is IMM 95BM1/1. Its type locality is SBDE Quarry 95BM1 Bayan Mandahu, which is in a Campanian eolian sandstone in the Bayan Mandahu Formation of China.
