Taxonomy
Sinuitinae was named by Dall (1913) [nom. transl. Knight, Batten & Yochelson 1960]. Its type is Sinuites.

It was assigned to Sinuitidae by Knight et al. (1960), Ebbestad and Yochelson (2000), Bouchet et al. (2005), Bouchet et al. (2017).
