Taxonomy

Hadrosaurichnus was named by Alonso (1980). It is considered to be a form taxon.

It was assigned to Ornithopoda by Lockley (1987); to Hadrosauridae by Alonso (1980), Leonardi (1981), Leonardi (1989), Jaillard et al. (1993), Vremir and Codrea (2002); to Theropoda by Romero Molina et al. (2003); and to Theropoda by Lockley et al. (2003).

Synonyms

Hadrosaurichnus titicacaensis was named by Jaillard et al. (1993). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is trackway in situ, a footprint, and it is a trace fossil. Its type locality is Vilquechico tracksite, which is in a Maastrichtian fluvial sandstone in the Vilquechicho Formation of Peru.

It was considered a nomen dubium by Díaz-Martínez et al. (2015).
Hadrosaurichnus australis was named by Alonso (1980). It is considered to be a form taxon. It is a trace fossil. Its type locality is Quebrada de la Escalera, Valle del Tonco tracksite, which is in a Maastrichtian carbonate grainstone in the Yacoraite Formation of Argentina.

It was considered a nomen dubium by Díaz-Martínez et al. (2015).
