Rhabdolithis was named by Ehrenberg (1847) [Sepkoski's age data: T Than T Eo-u]. It is not extant. Its type is Rhabdolithis pipa.
It was assigned to Plagiacanthinae by De Wever et al. (2001); to Nassellaria by Sepkoski (2002); and to Zamolxinae by Dumitrica (2004).
