Belonodelphis peruanus
Taxonomy
Belonodelphis peruanus was named by Muizon (1988). Its type specimen is MNHN PP1231, a skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cerro la Bruja, which is in a Miocene offshore shelf siltstone in the Pisco Formation of Peru. It is the type species of Belonodelphis.
