Paroxacron valdense
Taxonomy
Oxacron valdense was named by Stehlin (1906). Its type specimen is NMB Mt. 230, a mandible (sin. with 1 (1/2?), p2-m3), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Mormont Entreroches, which is in a Priabonian terrestrial horizon in Switzerland. It is the type species of Paroxacron.
It was recombined as Paroxacron valdense by Hürzeler (1936), Blondel (2005), Erfurt and Metais (2007), Weppe et al. (2019).
