Callianopsis
Taxonomy
Callianopsis was named by Saint Laurent (1973). It is extant. Its type is Callianassa goniopthalma. It is the type genus of Callianopsinae.
It was assigned to Ctenochelidae by Schweitzer and Feldmann (2001) and Schweitzer et al. (2010); to Callianopsinae by Manning and Felder (1991), Karasawa (1993), Schweitzer-Hopkins and Feldmann (1997), Schweitzer and Feldmann (1999) and Hyžný and Schlögl (2011); and to Callianopsidae by Schweitzer et al. (2023).
It was assigned to Ctenochelidae by Schweitzer and Feldmann (2001) and Schweitzer et al. (2010); to Callianopsinae by Manning and Felder (1991), Karasawa (1993), Schweitzer-Hopkins and Feldmann (1997), Schweitzer and Feldmann (1999) and Hyžný and Schlögl (2011); and to Callianopsidae by Schweitzer et al. (2023).
