Qinscyphus necopinus

Taxonomy
Qinscyphus necopinus was named by Liu et al. (2017). Its type specimen is UMCU 2015XQB086, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Zhangjiagou/Hexi [Kuanchuanpu Fm], which is in a Nemakit-Daldynian marine horizon in the Kuanchuanpu Formation of China. It is the type species of Qinscyphus.

Y. Liu et al. 2017Cup-shaped animal with apical part and abapi- cal part. Apical part an inverted pentagonal pyramid with smooth surface. Abapical part with slightly raised annuli. Five groups of triangular thickenings radially on abapical part. Triangular thickenings repetitive every four to seven annuli and straddling the next four to five annuli.
