Avisaurus archibaldi
Taxonomy
Avisaurus archibaldi was named by Brett-Surman and Paul (1985). Its type specimen is UCMP 117600, a limb element (left metatarsus), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Brownie Butte, which is in a Lancian terrestrial sandstone in the Hell Creek Formation of Montana.
