Anomalomys minutus
Taxonomy
Anomalomys minutus was named by Bollinger (1992) [Stored in the "Naturhistorisches Museum Basel" or in the paleontological institute and museum Zürich.]. Its type specimen is M1 inf.sin. (PIMUZ A/V 1697), a tooth. Its type locality is Tobel-Hombrechtikon, Zürich ("Assemblage"-Zone), which is in a MN 5 floodplain marl in Switzerland.

| Th. Bollinger 1992 | Species smaller than Anomalomys minor, the teeth are in average 0.1 mm (10%) smaller. In the enamel-structure there are hardly any differences. The tendency of wrinkles in the enamel-structure of worn teeth seems to be stronger than in the typical Anomalomys minor. However, in a high degree of wear the differences are not clearly distinguishable. |
