Alxasaurus elesitaiensis
Taxonomy
Alxasaurus elesitaiensis was named by Russell and Dong (1994). Its type specimen is IVPP 88402, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Elesitai, SCDP, which is in an Aptian lacustrine claystone in the Bayangobi Formation of China. It is the type species of Alxasaurus. It was considered monophyletic by Currie (2000).
