Taxonomy
Imerodelphis thabagarii was named by Mchedlidze (1959). Its type specimen is IPB no. 1, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kvaliti Village, which is in a Serravallian marine horizon in Georgia.
