Taxonomy
Perameles wilkinsonorum was named by Travouillon et al. (2017). Its type specimen is QM F30581, a mandible (partial left dentary with broken m2, m3, and broken m4), and it is a 3D body fossil.

K. J. Travouillon et al. 2017Perameles wilkinsonorum differs from all other species of Perameles in having a well-developed anterior cingulum on M2 that is connected to the talon. It differs from all species of Perameles except P. nasuta in having the postmetaconulecrista ending on the posterior flank of the metacone on M3.
