Vespertiliavus kasserinensis

Taxonomy
Vespertiliavus kasserinensis was named by Ravel et al. (2016). Its type specimen is CBI-2-061, a tooth, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Jebel Chambi, which is in a Ypresian/Lutetian lacustrine limestone in the Chambi Formation of Tunisia.

Ravel et al. 2016Vespertiliavus de petite taille, présentant un profond ecto exus sur M1-2, une inclinaison prononcée du bord buccal de ces mêmes molaires, un cingulum buccal épais, un parastyle très fort partiellement désolidarisé de la préparacrête sur M1, un ren ement linguodistal du bassin du talon parfois accompagné du développe- ment d’un hypocône.
