Metaxytherium arctodites
Taxonomy
Metaxytherium arctodites was named by Aranda-Manteca et al. (1994). Its type specimen is FCM 3693, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is La Mision, which is in a Langhian offshore shelf sandstone in the Rosarito Beach Formation of Mexico.
