Taxonomy
Chinshakiangosaurus was named by Yeh (1975). Its type is Chingshakiangosaurus chunghoensis.
It was considered a nomen dubium by Upchurch et al. (2004).
It was assigned to Sauropoda by Zhao (1985); to Melanorosauridae by Dong (1992); to Sauropoda by Barrett et al. (2005); and to Sauropoda by Upchurch et al. (2007), Upchurch et al. (2007), Bandyopadhyay et al. (2010) and Sekiya (2011).
It was considered a nomen dubium by Upchurch et al. (2004).
