Sauroplites scutiger
Taxonomy
Sauroplites scutiger was named by Bohlin (1953) [casts of some material as AMNH 2074; no catalogue number provided for holotype.]. Its type specimen is PIN uncat. (ribs, ?ischium, osteoderms) and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tebch (SSE), which is in an Aptian terrestrial sandstone in China. It is the type species of Sauroplites.
