Taxonomy
Noripterus complicidens was named by Young (1973). It is not extant. Its type specimen is IVPP V.4062. Its type locality is Wuerho, IVPP site 64045, which is in a Valanginian/Albian lacustrine mudstone/sandstone in the Lianmuqin Formation of China.
