Balaenula astensis
Taxonomy
Balaenula astensis was named by Trevisan (1942) [no type specimen number listed in Trevisan 1942
]. Its type specimen is MSNUP I-12555, a partial skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Portacomaro, which is in a Zanclean marine sandstone in the Sabbie d'Asti Formation of Italy.
