Marasuchus lilloensis
Taxonomy
Lagosuchus lilloensis was named by Romer (1972). Its type specimen is PVL 3871, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Los Chanares locality, which is in a Ladinian terrestrial horizon in the Chañares Formation of Argentina.
It was synonymized subjectively with Lagosuchus talampayensis by Bonaparte (1975), Paul (1988), Olshevsky (1991); it was recombined as Marasuchus lilloensis by Sereno and Arcucci (1994), Arcucci (1997), Novas (1997), Rauhut (2003), Yates (2003), Thulborn (2006), Ezcurra (2006), Upchurch et al.
