Heteromyoxus wetzleri
Taxonomy
Myoxus wetzleri was named by Schlosser (1884). Its type specimen is BSPG 1881 IX 73, a mandible (fragment of right dentary with M1 and M2), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Eggingen, which is in an Aquitanian fluvial-lacustrine marl/limestone in the Lower Freshwater Molasse Formation of Germany. It is the type species of Heteromyoxus.
It was recombined as Heteromyoxus wetzleri by Dehm (1938), Werner (1994).
