Enaliornis segdwicki
Taxonomy
Enaliornis segdwicki was named by Seeley (1869) [nomen nudum in 1869
lectotype designated by Brodkorb 1963; see also Elzanowski and Galton 1991]. Its type specimen is SMC B55314, a limb element (proximal end of a right tibiotarsus), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Coldham Common, which is in an Albian marine carbonate in the Gault Formation of the United Kingdom.
It was corrected as Enaliornis sedgwicki by Seeley (1869), Seeley (1876), Zittel (1890), Van Den Broeck (1900), Lambrecht (1933), Brodkorb (1971), Elzanowski and Galton (1991).
