Taxonomy
Otozoum caudatum was named by Hitchcock (1871). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is Wesleyan University 183, a footprint, and it is a trace fossil.
It was synonymized subjectively with Otozoum moodii by Rainforth (2003).
