Indohyus major
Taxonomy
Indohyus major was named by Thewissen et al. (1987). Its type specimen is GSP-UM 1435 (Isolated Left trigonid), a tooth, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Chorlakki, which is in a Lutetian fluvial conglomerate in the Kuldana Formation of Pakistan.
It was recombined as Khirtharia major by Orliac and Ducrocq (2012).
