Taxonomy

Heyuanninae was named by Yun (2019). Its type is Heyuannia.

It was assigned to Oviraptoridae by Yun (2019), Funston et al. (2020) and Funston (2020).

Banji, Conchoraptor, Ganzhousaurus, Heyuannia (syn. Ajancingenia) (type genus), Ingenia, Jiangxisaurus, Khaan, Machairasaurus, Nemegtomaia (syn. Nemegtia), Oksoko, Shixinggia

Synonyms

Ingeniinae was named by Barsbold (1981). Its type is Ingenia. It was considered monophyletic by Currie (2000).

It was replaced with Heyuanninae by Yun (2019).

It was assigned to Oviraptoridae by Barsbold (1981), Barsbold (1983), Currie (2000), Osmólska et al. (2004), Weishampel et al. (2008), Longrich et al. (2010), Fanti et al. (2012), Lü et al. (2013), Lü et al. (2013) and Lü et al. (2015).
