Taxonomy
Hormotoma zelleri was named by Flower (1968). It is not extant. Its type locality is Cooks Range, Mimbres Mountains, which is in a Demingian carbonate limestone in the José Formation of New Mexico.
It was recombined as Eroicaspira zelleri by Wagner (2023).
