Estescincosaurus cooki
Taxonomy
Sauriscus cooki was named by Estes (1964). Its type specimen is UCMP 49994, a mandible (dentary), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Lull 2 Quarry (UCMP V-5620), which is in a Maastrichtian terrestrial sandstone in the Lance Formation of Wyoming. It is the type species of Sauriscus.
It was recombined as Estescincosaurus cooki by Longrich et al. (2012).
