Taxonomy
Raphidociclicus was named by Nazarov and Rudenko (1981) [Sepkoski's age data: P Guad Sepkoski's reference number: 525]. Its type is Raphidociclicus hiulcus.

It was assigned to Radiolaria by Sepkoski (2002); and to Ceratoikiscidae by De Wever et al. (2001), Noble et al. (2017).
