Thalassocnus carolomartini
Taxonomy
Thalassocnus carolomartini was named by McDonald and Muizon (2002) [SMNK = Staatliche Museum fur Naturkunde, Karlsruhe, Germany]. It is not extant. Its type specimen is SMNK PAL 3814. Its type locality is Sacaco (SAO horizon), which is in a Tortonian/Messinian paralic siltstone in the Pisco Formation of Peru.
