Taxonomy
Macrocheilus humilis was named by Keyes (1888). It is not extant.

It was recombined as Sphaerodoma humilis by Morningstar (1922); it was recombined as Soleniscus (Macrochilina) humilis by Knight (1931); it was recombined as Soleniscus humilis by Keyes (1889), Yochelson and Saunders (1967) and Wagner (2023).
