Taxonomy
Spinicharybdis canteriata was named by Rohr and Packard (1982). Its type specimen is GSC 66651, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is GSC 97930, Goodsir Creek, which is in a Ludfordian reef, buildup or bioherm lime mudstone/packstone in the Barlow Inlet Formation of Canada.
