Pseudomphalotrochus cottrelli
Taxonomy
Straparollus (Straparollus) cottrelli was named by Linsley and Yochelson (1973). Its type specimen is USNM 183659, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Lake Huron Beach, north of Rockport Quarry ½ miles N Alpena:Presque Isle Co, which is in an Eifelian carbonate limestone in the Rogers City Formation of Michigan.
It was recombined as Pseudomphalotrochus cottrelli by Wagner (2023).
