Tropidodiscus (Tropidodiscus) pragensis was named by Horný (1963) [Tropidodiscus (Tropidodiscus) pragensis Horný 1963c]. It is not extant. Its type locality is Barrandov I, which is in a Pragian carbonate limestone in the Dvorce-Prokop Formation of Czechia.
It was recombined as Tropidodiscus pragensis by Heidelberger (2001), Wagner (2023).
