Taxonomy
Tuoraconus acutatus was named by Missarzhevsky (1989). It is not extant. Its type locality is Near Chekurovka village, Lena River, which is in a Tommotian marine limestone in the Tyuser Formation of the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Tuoraconus.
