Taxonomy
Otozoum grandcombensis was named by Gand et al. (2000). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is UM2 P1, M2, trackway 7, a footprint, and it is a trace fossil. Its type locality is F1 tracksite, Grand-Combe, which is in a Norian marginal marine dolomite in the Grès supérieurs et Argilites bariolées Formation of France.
It was recombined as Pseudotetrasauropus grandcombensis by Rainforth (2003), Lockley et al. (2006), D'Orazi Porchetti and Nicosia (2007), Klein and Lucas (2021).
