Taxonomy
Helcionella aequa was named by Resser (1939). Its type locality is 54s - Near mouth of North side Two Mile Canyon, 2 miles se of Malad, Wasatch Mts, which is in a Menevian carbonate limestone in the Langston Formation of Idaho.
It was recombined as Oelandiella aequa by Wagner (2023).
