Taxonomy
Bellerophon brevilineatus was named by Conrad (1842). It is not extant.

It was recombined as Tropidocyclus brevilineatus by Clarke (1908), Clarke (1909); it was recombined as Bucanella brevilineatus by Boucot and Yochelson (1966); it was recombined as Sinuitopsis brevilineatus by Zambito (2008); it was recombined as Sinuitina brevilineatus by Rollins et al. (1971), Rollins (1975), Blodgett et al. (1999), Wagner (2023).
