Taxonomy
Bellerophon laurentinus was named by Twenhofel (1928). It is not extant. Its type locality is Makasti Bay, 79-228 feet from base of formation, which is in a Richmondian carbonate limestone/shale in the English Head Formation of Canada.
It was recombined as Sphenosphaera laurentinus by Wagner (2023).
