It was recombined as Bucanopsis meekana by Ulrich and Scofield (1897); it was corrected as Bellerophon meekiana by Girty (1915); it was recombined as Bucanopsis meekianus by Plummer and Hornberger (1935); it was recombined as Retispira meekiana by Wagner (2023).
