Diagnosis
ReferenceDiagnosis
S. A. Northrop 1939Shell small; width equal to diameter, 18 mm. Three to four volutions. Whorl
about three times as wide as high. Slit band ridge about 0.9 mm. wide. Ornamentation consists of growth lamellae, about 6 in 5 mm., diverging from the band at an angle of 60 degrees; as they pass outward, they diverge further until they assume a course at right angles to the slit band. In the interspaces between the growth lamellae, and parallel to them, are numerous exceedingly fine striae. The youngest whorl, exposed by the cross section, is only 3 mm. in diameter but exhibits the distinctive ornamentation.
