Sphenosphaera nana
Taxonomy
Bucania nana was named by Ulrich and Scofield (1897) [Bucania nana Ulrich in Ulrich & Scofield 1897]. It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Ulrich & Scofield Locality 1.5 miles south of Burgin, which is in a Franklinian carbonate limestone in the Lexington Formation of Minnesota.
It was recombined as Bellerophon nana by Wahlman (1992); it was recombined as Sphenosphaera nana by Rollins (1967) and Wagner (2023).
