Carinariopsis tschernyschevi was named by Perner (1903) [Carinariopsis Tschernyschevi]. It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kosoř near Praha-Radotin, which is in a Lochkovian carbonate limestone/shale in the Lochkov Formation of Czechia.
It was recombined as Coelocyclus tschernyschevi by Horný (1963).
