Taxonomy
Bellerophon (Cyrtolites) orphanus was named by Perner (1903). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Dvorce Cement Factory, Praha - Podolí, which is in a Gorstian carbonate limestone in the Kopanina Formation of Czechia.
It was recombined as Yochelsonia orphanus by Horný (1963); it was recombined as Yochelsonellis orphanus by Horný (1966), Wagner (2023).
