Strepsodiscus splettstoesseri
Taxonomy
Euomphalus splettstoesseri was named by Webers et al. (1992) [Euomphalus splettstoesseri Yochelson in Webers, Pojeta & Yochelson 1992]. It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is USNM 388319: Bingham Peak, which is in a Dresbachian perireef or subreef limestone in the Minaret Formation of Antarctica.
It was recombined as Euomphalopsis splettstoesseri by Rohr et al. (2002); it was recombined as Strepsodiscus splettstoesseri by Wagner (2023).
